Bright aromas of cherry, raspberry, red plum, wild herbs and spice. On the palate, elegant red fruit, soft tannins and lively acidity. Smooth and fruit-forward with approachable structure and a graceful finish.
Winery / Production Notes
Grapes come from several Marlborough and Nelson sub-regions to capture site variation. Small-batch fermentation (often open-top) and oak ageing (in moderation) round out texture without dimming fruit. Kono styles this as a youthful, expressive Pinot meant to drink in its early years.
