Grape Varieties : Mainly Grenache and Syrah.

Notes of roasted plum and blackberry preserves are shaded by wisps of smoke, black pepper and clove in this full-bodied, grounded red blend. Tasted at the start of 2021, it has delicate hints of cured meat and forest floor that suggest maturity. This softly tannic, velveteen sip should pair well with wild game. Drink now–2025. Anna Lee C. Terroir : Well-exposed parcels ; sandy surface with clayey sub-soil, which helps to prevent drought stress. Cotes du Rhone Villages Cairanne Wines : Key PointsGranted Côtes du Rhônes Villages Cairanne status in 1967, the Cairanne appellation received its own AOC designation in 2016 and now covers a little more than 950 hectares only in the Cairanne village. The vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate and are planted on clay-limestone, clay and glacial-fluvial soils. The Cairanne appellation produces red wines (mainly Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre), whites (Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier) and rosés (Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier). Reds offer red stone fruit flavours that become more animal and truffle with age, while the whites develop citrus fruit, white fruit and floral notes.

Tasting Note : very fruity nose ; in the mouth it is supple and fleshy with overtones of red ripe fruits.

Serve With : perfect accompaniment to poultry, lamb, charcuterie and cheese.
