Villa Delgi Olmi Italy

Since 1985, Villa degli Olmiis a winery with a long tradition for the quality and distinctiveness of its wines. As early as 1926 Giovanni's wines were awarded the gold medal at important wine exhibitions of the time. The activity intensifies in the following years when the second generation enters the company, giving further impetus to business. Immediately after the Second World War, one of Giovanni's sons, Aurelio, decides to carry out an important autonomous project and open a newly built cellar. He chose the town of Creazzo as a location, then a small village close to the city of Vicenza, where his most loyal customers were found.

Villa degli Olmi are always very careful about where they grow their vineyards, as the quality of the land is essential to enhance the characteristics of the various wines of their company. Villa Delgi Olmi have chosen soils of various conformations, to better develop the variety of our products.(VDO) has about 70 hectares of vineyards that grow between the province of Vicenza and that of Padua, splendid soils to grow Glera , which will then produce a fine and delicate Prosecco DOC , and other typical vines of the area, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio .

CÀ MOROSINI_Altavilla Vicentina

The vineyard is characterized by a calcareous-marly soil, this term indicates that the limestone contains a certain amount of clay;


Glera vineyards stand, consisting of an arenaceous soil that gives the wines a balanced character in its alcoholic and phenolic components. This type of soil gives the wines a fine and persistent aroma.


At the gates of Sandrigo, north of Vicenza, there are vineyards called “gravels” as the soil is pebbly and permeable.

MONSELICE  Euganean Hills

These vineyards at the foot of the Euganean Hills have a volcanic soil, a very precious soil for viticulture. Volcanic soils are in fact rich in potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.

Villa Delgi Olmi has been one of the first wineries to receive the Certification UNI EN ISO 9001 as early as 1996; in 2004 it obtained the certification SA 8000 (protection of workers' rights), in 2005 obtained the UNI EN ISO 14001 and EMAS(referred to the respectful cycles for quality, safety and environment); and finally in 2011 received the BRC and IFS
certifications. All organic practicing vineyards, however not registered under certification.

Casa Agrícola Alexandre Relvas is a family project that began in 1997 and already has the dedication of two generations. The company manages 350 hectares of vineyard and produces 6 million bottles per year, 70% of which are exported to more than 30 countries.


In the last 10 years our wines have won more than 300 gold medals in international competitions and have received the highest scores throughout specialized press (Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast and Wine and Spirits).

Through wine, we promote the discovery of Alentejo’s most genuine cultural manifestations, a journey that meets at the same time authentic traditions & contemporary experiences.

The Terroir and Growing Regions of Casa Relvas

Three genuine terroir: “Herdade de São Miguel” and “Herdade da Pimenta” in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, and “Herdade dos Pisões”, in Vidigueira.


Located in Redondo, the 35ha of vines were planted in clay and schist soils and surrounded by a montado forest. In Herdade de São Miguel the main varieties planted are the Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Touriga Nacional.


The Herdade de São Miguel winery was built in 2003 with the capacity to transform 500 tons of grapes, and still in time for the first harvest at Casa Relvas. Special Terroir, where the Alentejo sun perfectly matches the soils and produces very characteristic grapes, producing robust and vigorous wines, without losing freshness.


Located on the plains of Évora, bordering with the village of São Miguel de Machede and with Ribeira da Pardiela, Herdade da Pimenta it´s an estate with 150 ha that belongs to the Relvas family since 2001.

In this estate of mostly granite soils, 60 ha of vineyards were planted in 2002, the remaining area is composed of 90 hectares of forest.

The main red grape varieties are Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca and white are Arinto, Viognier and Antão Vaz.

Sustainability & Community 

The Relvas family grew up on the land. It is the land that inspires us and we want to pass this on to future generations.This is why sustainability is present in our day-to-day life at Casa Relvas. We are proud to be a pioneer of the Alentejo Wine Sustainability Program and one of its top scorers (3.8 / 4). There is great importance of sustainability in every dimension: social, environmental and financial. Over time, the Relvas family has grown and our horizons widened. After two decades at Casa Relvas, we now have two generations dedicated to the management of around 750 hectares of forests, 250 hectares of olive groves and 350 hectares of vineyards as a 100% integrated production system.
